Are you going to the Toronto Interior Design Show the weekend of January 25th & 26th?
Maybe I should start by saying that you kinda need to either be visiting Toronto or live here to attend…is that too obvious??
But here’s the part that makes me giggle and clap my hands cuz I get to feel like the tooth fairy: the first TWO, as in 2, readers who sign up to get my free online Kitchen Project Planner, at the end of this post will WIN a pair of tickets to the show!
Let me tell you, when it comes to interior design products for the home, you have to get up P_R_E_T_T_Y early in the morning to impress me! I’ve been around the block a few times and seen a bazillion shows and products. It ain’t my first rodeo, if you catch my drift. So when I see the same ol’ same ol’ I have a hard time staying awake. But the one place I can almost always count on seeing a few really cool things is at this show.
But what you will not see, is one single slicer or dicer or floor mop.
If you want a floor mop, go to a hardware store.
Of course I also like the show because I was a featured speaker there last year on Trade Day and my seminar was sold out! This year I’ll be on a Trade Day panel discussing the ins & outs of kitchen design and interior design for other pros.
One of my favorite lighting vendors will be there:
Their light fixtures are unique, funky and as much a piece of sculpture as they are light fixtures. My favorite installation of one of their chandeliers was in an old stone farm house that I filled with an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary pieces. The dining room went from this:
And one of my favorite rug studios will be there:
Some of these rugs really almost make me drool over the colors and patterns and I pray to the carpet gods that they will send me a client who will let me install one of these sensationally unique pieces of art for the floor in their project!
I used one of their beautiful rugs in my very favorite color in my booth at a home show…
And who says you can’t put a rug in a kitchen? Here’s another W Studio rug I used in an eating area of a kitchen. Scrumptious!
And as for bathroom products…
…since I’m currently working on my next book,
Renovation Bootcamp®: Bathroom — Design and Remodel Your Bathroom Without Getting Hosed,
I’m going to be looking for some cool bathroom fixtures and faucets to feature, like these:
One of my FAV sources for modern bathroom fixtures and faucets is ModernBathroom which actually has traditional styles as well as contemporary, like the ones I used in this male-centric bathroom:
So if you want to see some cool products like these and want a FREE pair of tickets for the Toronto Interior Design Show on January 25th & 26th, be one of the first TWO people to sign up for my FREE online Kitchen Project Planner here, and I’ll let you know if you won the tickets!
AND AS A BONUS…
you’ll get the weekly blog post right to your e-doorstep! Just like your newspaper but without the bad news!
If it’s like a newspaper without the bad news, does this mean I’m going to have to add a horoscope to the blog now?
Ok how about “This is YOUR year to redesign your home! Get Crackin’, no time to lose!”
Hope you enjoy the show and if you know of anyone else who might enjoy my posts, please forward and TWEET, FACEBOOK and PIN and you’ll have my undying gratitude!
